Go Forth, Woman and Man of the People!
My colleague Margery Eagan is cringing over the runaway bride qualities of the first woman to crack the marble ceiling.
And finally, my colleague Wayne Woodlief and I agree on something. Wayne generally takes a different view of John Kerry’s political future than I do, but when he says Carry, I mean Kerry, should go to Iraq, like Eisenhower went to Korea, I agree. There are men and women there who need desperately need his halp. With Kerry’s keen political instincts, his hail-fellow-well-met ease with the lumpenproletariat and his Churchill-like mastery of the oratory arts and cutting wit, I’m sure mingling with gun-toting common folk won’t go badly wrong again.

This post made me question whether I personally have meaner things to say about female politicians than I do about male ones. After much reflection, I can honestly say that, no, I’m pretty mean-spirited about all of them.

that Margery Eagan person/woman wrote a very silly column. Does she always do that?
