OK, Now… Point … The Gun… Away from… Your Foot
Glimmerings of light inside the house on the Left: Sometimes stupid ideas are just stupid.
Chris Bowers has an aha moment and realizes that pushing for Bush’s impeachment would backfire. Still doesn’t get that it wouldn’t work, however, due to technical issues such as lack of grounds for impeachment.
Daily Kos also sagely acknowledges that his own ideas are dumb.
Now, if they can just take another step and acknowledge that they have been aiding and abetting the enemy in time of war … hey, how come Chimpy Bushitlerburton hasn’t thrown these guys in the hated Crusader gulag of Guantanamo yet, anyway? I thought we had suspended civil rights. Sheesh!
Richard at Hyscience is astonished at the evidence of what might actually be rational thought.

Personally authorizing eavesdropping of Americans that is against a federal statute like FISA, that’s illegal… does that not qualify as grounds for impeachment? I believe that is technically breaking the law.

How soon we forget, but Clinton started the eavesdropping of Americans calling overseas in the 1990’s and the New York Times had no problem with it at that time in an article about Project Echelon in 1999:
“Few dispute the necessity of a system like Echelon to apprehend foreign spies, drug traffickers and terrorists….”

Relax, Steven. The Bushhitler Secret Police aren’t interested in your phone calls. Unless you’re talking to Ahmedinejad, of course, in which case, you’re fair game.
