Nixon-Ford, Big Secret Friendship
I know this is important for history. If in fact it’s true. But does Bob Woodward really need to hang it all out, in all its breathless detail, two days after Ford’s death? Is he getting off on this?

Easy to figure out.
Watergate = bad
Nixon = bad
Ford pardoned Nixon = Really Bad
Nixon and Ford friends = bad set-up
Conclusion = All Republicans are bad, like the left keeps saying.
Woodward, maybe missing his days of glory bashing Nixon, turns to bashing Ford now that he is gone trying to relive what he considers one of his finer moments.
He comes across just looking like another leftist moonbat with no class or nose for story, having given Clinton many passes.

A more revealing story is Clinton’s relationship with Nixon.

Woodward lives in the past, like so many who have not entertained a new thought since 1968.

As opposed to those whose only guide is the Soviets victory over the Nazis in 1945, bird dog?
At least those who are stuck in 1968 have the insights of Vietnam to guide them…

Alph,
Just exactly what are your Vietnam insights?
I doubt they are these:

Like snatching defeat from the jaws of victory?
