Freedom’s Zone

This is what my new host is about.

Check out the Freedom’s Zone site, and check the blogroll. Some interesting sites. Egyptian Sandmonkey, Big Pharoah, Dr Sanity and WakeUpAmerica are names you know. Sudanese Thinker is new. Blacksmiths of Lebanon offers several views from within.  Some interesting Euro sites as well.

Thanks to Richard of Hyscience for inviting me to be part of this loosely affiliated group of differently minded people in diverse places with some common goals. Thanks to Tim for building the site.

The photo at top is one I took around 7:30 a.m. on April 7, 2003, on the approach to July 14th Square and the palace gates of the not-yet Green Zone, during the assault on Baghdad.  The border across the top is developed from the Standard of Ur.  The Standard of Ur has war on one side and peace on the other. I see the interaction as being more dynamic than that.
