Dawn Over D.C.
Sen. Richard Lugar, who has been no great friend to the Bush administration or the effort in Iraq, appears to taken one to the head from a clue bat.
A day after President Bush pleaded with Congress to give his Iraq policy one last chance, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee rebuffed him by approving a nonbinding resolution declaring his troop increase in Iraq to be against “the national interest.”
The committee voted 12-9 vote to send the resolution to the Senate. Lugar:
“In an open democracy, we voice our agreements and disagreements in public, and we should not be reticent to do so. But official roll-call votes carry a unique message.” The resolution “will confirm to our friends and allies that we are divided and in disarray.”

For years back in Indiana, I raised h*ll about Lugar, wrote him letters, thought he was the worst kind of RINO. Now, I have Arlen Specter.
I’d take back Lugar any day.

One would have to be dead to not recognize what the democrat’s intentions are.
