Remember When?

This has an almost quaint feel.  Greek commies threatening bombs, “US Out Of (Wherever).”

Stratfor:

The militant group Revolutionary Struggle, responsible for the Jan. 12 explosion at the U.S. Embassy in Athens, Greece, threatened more attacks in a five-page declaration Jan. 25. Though the rhetoric is not new, this warning comes at a time of increased left-wing and anarchist group activity in Greece. These groups traditionally have an anti-capitalist agenda and could target business, government and U.S. military interests in Greece.

These Greeks bearing bombs need to bone up on their Marx and their Islam before choosing their fellow travellers. I’m pretty sure when the Islamic revolution comes, Greek communists don’t get second-class citizen dhimmi status.

Islamic cadre: Faith?  

Infidel: Anglican.

Islamic Cadre: Hmm, yes, Christian dog.  Dhimmi tax please. Next. Faith?

Infidel: Jew.

Islamic cadre: Hmmph. Israeli?

Infidel: American.

Islamic cadre: For this I must confer with my brothers … (Hamdela hamdela! Zionist passover blood libel? Hamdela hamdela!) … OK. Dhimmi tax, please. Next. Faith?

Greek communist: None.

Islamic cadre: What do you mean, none?  Do you not perhaps have many gods like a Hindu?  Which is haram.

Greek communist:  No, none at all.  As Marx taught, I am an atheist.

Islamic cadre: You are without god?

Greek communist: Religion is the opiate of the masses.

Islamic cadre: Oh, OK.  Convert or die please.

Greek communist: But I have supported your struggle based on my deeply held principles!

Islamic cadre: Yes, yes. Convert or die, please.

   Anti-Americanism in Greece, ho hum. They’ve been at it for decades. There aren’t enough Jews left in Europe anymore to make the hate worthwhile, and you know, they have to have a Boogeyman of some kind, so we’re it.

   They never learn, do they? Not even by their own history. It is always the intellectuals who get lined up first, most commonly those who agitated for the change.
