Long War Gets Uglier
They’ve said this war could last 10 years. Try 20, or 30. From now, not counting the 28 years we’ve already seen. It will get worse before it gets better.
Terror plotters in Britain planned Iraq-style abduction and beheadings. Look for it when it comes to your town.
The UK Sun reports the plan called for abducting a British soldier.
There are people who will say this is the result of George Bush and Tony Blair going to war in Iraq. These are people whose view of history and current events is blurred by wishful thinking, strange self-loathing and political hatred.
Robert Dean Stethem was not murdered because of Iraq. Leon Klinghoffer was not murdered because of Iraq. Two hundred and 41 Marines, sailors and soldiers on peacekeeping duty Lebanon were not murdered because of Iraq. Nineteen U.S. servicemen were at the Khobar Towers in Dhahran and 17 sailors in the USS Cole in the port of Aden arguably were murdered because of Iraq in 1998. Because we failed to occupy Iraq in 1991 and instead occupied Saudi Arabia. We also were not in Iraq on Sept. 11, 2001, nor in January 2002 when Daniel Pearl’s head was cut off. Osama bin Laden would have found some other excuse to kill Americans. Killing Americans was the next logical step in his plan of Islamic world domination. Why does he hate us? We’re not building mosques and praying toward Mecca in sufficient numbers, for one thing. But basically because, like Everest, we’re there.
They like to blame our support for Israel, too. Israel, like Iraq, is a favorite excuse of Islamic extremists. But the fate of the Palestinian people, like the fate of the Iraqi people they murder in shocking numbers every day, means nothing to them. It’s not about them. It’s about us.
Not one of the people who want us to scale down our war with Islamic extremism has yet to come up with a viable plan for dealing with people who have been stepping up their attacks for three decades.
It will continue until there are viable free governments that provide education and stable, and free economies that provide jobs. It will continue until the moderate voices in Islam, now cowed by the hatred or taking advantage of it, start speaking up against it. It will continue until we have killed enough of them, and even the people like Mohammad Faisal Saksak’s mother have had enough blood.

The Cold War lasted nearly fifty years. I don’t expect to see the end of this war against Islamofascism in my lifetime, but perhaps my grandchildren will see it.

Even as the English jihadis plan, and the English mosques spew their hatred and encourage children to murder in the name of Allah, the English talk appeasement, as though one could accomodate a cancer growing in their body.

If I were a terrorist cell, I’d be keeping my nose clean, and working as a sheet rocking crew….
…putting time delay bombs inside the walls of every new school and office building going up. Nobody pays attention to sheetrockers, and they’re the last ones to see the walls opened up.
