Iran blames the United States for the abduction of an Iranian diplomat in Baghdad by gunmen in Iraqi Army uniforms.
I blame Iran. This has all the hallmarks of their proxies, the Shiite death squads. Sounds like a setup. If they want to make it really look good, they can get some fake Americans and saw the guy’s head off on al-Jazeera. He gets his virgins, the Great Satan comes out looking bad, it’s a win-win.

Does it seem like somebody is deliberately trying to provoke a shooting war between Iran and the US? Like, you know, somebody who believes the Twelfth Imam will pop up out of the dirt if it happens?

When we take a couple hundred of Iranian diplomats hostage and hold them for a year an a half, we will almost be even.
