Friendly Fire
Instapilot, resident A-10 jockey at Castle Argghhh!!!, knows of what he speaks as he examines the transcripts of the March 2003 friendly fire tragedy that killed a British soldier.
Lance Cpl. Matty Hull’s wife “immensely sad” but does not want to get political nor does she seek an unlawful death verdict unless the evidence supports it.
Contrast this clear-headed war widow’s stance to events elsewhere. And here, too.

It’s truly a tragic event, as all friendly-fire events are. No doubt the young pilots will never get over it either.

Agree with RebeccaH. Tragic.
*I’ve often wondered and in fact did send an email to OUR DOD, suggesting that our forces be implanted with an encoded GPS micro chip, to assist in identifying friendly from non-friendly. As this type of incidence has happened to our own. The identifying chip, would be removed upon our service personnel leaving the military.Unfortunately with this, as well as other incidents occurring with armed forces not of the U.S. It would not matter.
* Just to make it completely clear, this suggestion came from an individual (ME) whose knowledge of such things simply stated IS, when I press a button on this laptop once, it goes ON. When I press that same button a second time, it goes OFF.
Maybe that’s why the DOD didn’t fly me to the Pentagon, award me a civilian medal of some sort and have my portrait made, to hang forever on their walls.
