Bushgram for Mr. Ahmadinejad
To clear up any confusion, while still keeping them guessing, Bush says Iran is supplying weapons that kill Americans, and he intends to “do something about it.”
“I’m going to do something about it,” Bush pledged, displaying apparent irritation at being repeatedly asked about mixed administration signals on who was behind the weaponry.
“To say it is provoking Iran is just a wrong way to characterize the commander in chief’s decision to do what is necessary to protect our soldiers in harm’s way,” Bush said.
… Meanwhile, Bush shrugged off congressional debate on a resolution opposing his Iraq policy, noting that the measure was nonbinding and mostly symbolic. But he said U.S. troops are counting on lawmakers to provide them the funds they need to win. Bush spoke as the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives debated a measure opposing his decision to send some 21,500 additional troops to Iraq.
“They have every right to express their opposition and it is a nonbinding resolution,” he said of the House members. But he suggested he would dig in his heels if Congress wavered on emergency spending legislation to pay for the operation.
“Our troops are counting on their elected leaders in Washington, D.C. to provide them with the support they need to do their mission,” Bush said.
As you know, there has been some sniping after military sources at a briefing over the weekend said weapons shipments are being approved at high levels. Then Gen. Peter Pace said he didn’t know that he could say that. That was presented as a denial of what was earlier stated, although it wasn’t exactly. Bush yesterday said it was the elite Quds Force, which he noted is under Iranian government control, which is implicated, though he can’t say how high the actual approvals went. I’m guessing he doesn’t particularly care. Because, if it continues, it won’t really matter.

Murtha and co. are working on ways to tie the president’s hands in this war. As far as I’m concerned, it amounts to actively aiding and abetting. No matter what rubric they to choose to use, it is unconscionable and treasonous.
There are people who wouldn’t believe anything against the enemy if they stood up and declared war…, oh wait, they’ve done that.
alphie, that’s your cue to say something stupid.

Great. Now Chimpy McBushitler is going to attack Iran just for attacking us. I mean, Jeez Louise, they’re only attacking us - for the last 28 years - and what do we do? Attack them back? How absurd.

How can this be a bad thing? Haven’t the mad mullahs always said that a true Muslim loves death?

If the Republicans didn’t just give immunity from lawsuits to all the gun makers who are supplying the weapons used to murder thousands of Americans a year…we might actually take ‘em seriously.
Repeal immunity from lawsuits for gun makers before attacking Iran.
Otherwise, it just looks like you’re trying to rub out the competition.

HA! I knew he wouldn’t be able to decline the invitation! Sure enough, he said something stupid.
