Bush Bad, Therefore …

A leftist struggles mightily to get it, and comes close to halfway there, as he looks at how the Left has lost its way. Not that, when we review the history of the 20th Century, there is any indication they had ever found it. Nick Cohen excerpted in the Australian. h/t Andrew Bolt.

He can write all of that and still not recognize the contradictions that led to the supposed conundrum he describes.

I no longer have much interest in what today’s so-called “liberals” have to say. Most of their energy is going to be wasted trying to dig themselves out of the cesspit they’ve lockstepped their way into.

The Left has “lost their way”?

As I survey the human wreckage propagated by the Left in the twentieth century I am quite baffled by this statement.

Was it when they supported Uncle Joe’s “breaking of a few million eggs to make an omelet” in the Ukraine?

When they pledged fealty to fellow socialist Hitler (I guess Kola did get them to change their minds…eventually) in the run-up to the greatest calamity in World History? Make no mistake - When you hear “National Socialism” described as “right wing” - The speaker or writer is merely defining the phenomenom in Euro-terms.

Continental Europe has never really realized “right wing” in the Ronald Reagan sense.

Mao, Pol Pot, the Ayatollah, one could even go all the way back to Robespierre and The Terror…The list just goes on and on and on. I am sorry - I have never seen them “find” their “way” in the first place.

Indeed, I view the atrocity of existant Political Correctness & moral tourism (also known as “cultural relativism”) as an attempt to alter reality (”a social construct”, after all) — To not have done so would have forced them to look into the abyss of their particular history.

Tribalism, feudalism, chauvinism, racism…Will this European disease ever die?
