Plame Game
I would like to state for the record, in my own name, that when supposedly covert agents employ their husbands to do the nation’s secret intelligence work, and said husbands then write op-eds in national publications, it is no one else’s fault when said agent’s highly questionable and apparently non-prosecutable covert status gets blown. Also, tabloid rule no. 1: anyone who seeks publicity and whines about it has to give the money back.
Topics: USA, shameless opportunism, shameless self-promotion

Bill’s Nibbles // Open Post — 2007.03.17
Some Bill’s Bites posts, some things I excerpted and linked but I’m sending you to the original post, some things too short to excerpt and too good to not mention. I occasionally move things from Bill’s Nibbles to longer posts

The whole disgraceful affair stinks to the heavens. With folks like Plame, is it any wonder that we’ve had the problems in the CIA that we’ve had? Knowing that they even hired such a person, much less let her work all those years certainly gives one pause. And gives a black eye to every honest worker at Quantico. Unfortunately, there are plenty of people there who have earned their black eye without any help from her. This means that the real problem has been at the top, and has been there through Dem., as well as Rep., administrations.
Her husband is a traitor so far beyond the pale that I cannot speak of him without my mind splitting in two at the injustice of his continued respiration.
Despicable people, both of them.

The woman has become tedious. A partisan victim who enjoys her 15 minutes and longs for financial gain from her fame. She is a better looking, slightly smarter version of the hideous Cindy Sheehan. Except Valerrie’s relative is a bore, while Cindy’s was a genuine hero.

Is there any way to shut this Plame woman up? Go away already! Join a bridge club or something. Your 15 minutes are up, for Chrissakes!

She’s taking her cue from St. Cindy Of The Ditch.
