The Day We Took Our Country Back

Forty years lost in the wilderness. Forty years in exile. Behind us now. Yesterday we took our country back. It's in the air. I can feel it. Can you?

But the exit-at-all-costs crowd could stand a little more sober reflection of this sort.

And a butterfly in Brazil caused Hurricane Katrina, and wishes are horses, and pigs will fly when we see that kind of thing from those people.

The comment by an anti-war thug about the vets which the WaPo chose to quote cracked me up with its unintended irony--something like "a bunch of hooligans in biker jackets" or some such. That and the picture they chose to print--out of all the ones they could have chosen--is very telling about which side the editors are on. I couldn't help but think that they are still spitting on us vets, just like they did all those years ago. The hatred goes deep, I guess.
