Cathy Seipp
It’s all here. Closer read indicates she’s still hanging in. Apologies for the confusion.

Mentioned on her site yesterday. Cathy touched the world, with her fingertips. May she now rest in peace, with the Lords.
Heartfelt condolences to family and friends. Lost my brother to the vile creature called cancer.

As much as her passing is tragic, I’m glad her terrible and valiant struggle is over for her. My deepest sympathy and condolences to her family and all her friends and fans. I count myself in the latter category.

Cathy Seipp was one of the first writers I found in the blogosphere soon after 9/11. She was a voice of immanent sense and reason at a time when the whole world seemed upside down, and it was especially striking considering the milieu in which she operated: La-La-Land on the Left Coast. She’s the kind of woman I’ve always admired. Her daughter is very lucky to have her as mother.
