Brits Pardoned!
Mahmoud the Magnanimous and Merciful says the infidels may go.
The stalwart and brave commander who captured these criminals is decorated!
Does this mean the demonstration is off? Iranian rules say heck no: Throw some rocks, chant “Death to Iran,” storm the place, take some war criminals hostage!

I watched part of the live link of the Persian shrimp’s press conference. The reporter from the Independent of London threw him a big softball about “have US or UK forces been involved in attacks in Iran”.
Let the lefty press spin this any way they want, the truth is Ahmedmidgetman had to back down. There was a thread on FR the other day about how this was a contrived distraction to deal with political pressures within Iran. If that’s so, then I don’t see how having to release the hostages helps Mahmoud the small.

There’s a thread at FR which excerpts John Derbyshire running down the Brits for allowing themselves to be used for propaganda purposes. I don’t know if I’d go that far, but I think we would be well served to remind ourselves of what was once expected behavior on the part of soldiers in captivity.
