… at the scene of yesterday’s bomb blast in the Parliament dining hall. For what it’s worth, U.S. rep. Stephen Lynch, D-Mass., was in Baghdad yesterday, described the site as not part of the Green Zone proper but an area known as the ”Pink Zone,” an Iraqi-secured zone with fewer layers of security. Which may help explain how a bomber reportedly a Sunni lawmaker’s bodyguard gets through.

As my father used to say, if a burglar wants in your house bad enough, it’s almost impossible to keep him out. But this will be trumpeted as proof that the surge is failing, and we should get out now. Business as usual in the Democratic congress and their prime-time puppydogs.

You know, Rebeccah, I have a difficult time deciding if it is the Democratic congress and their prime-time puppydogs, or the prime-time talking heads and their puppydog Democratic congress. That’s the trouble with a collective — it has no real head (and you can take that any way you choose).
