Rebecca, I view the environmental activists as Luddites, more interested in retarding or retrograding technology to “protect the environment” than they are in improving said technology.
I used those quotes because these cretins don’t remember just how bad the pollution was before anti-pollution was developed. But I suppose they won’t be happy until everyone is using these. Everyone that ain’t providing the motive power, I mean.
