Body Found
Shot in the head and the chest, in an American uniform, tattoo on hand, floating in the Euphrates in Musayyib, 40 miles south of Baghdad.
CNN checks in with what purports to be scene vid, though correspondent is back at the missing soldiers’ base. Adds detail that the body is of American appearance.
More questions than answers. U.S. must now determine if this is in fact an American soldier, which one it is, and if possible, when he was killed. The manner of death is a surprise. No mention of torture yet, but if the body has been in the river for any period of time that might be obscured. Apparently not decapitated, which seems unusual and raises questions about the circumstances under which this man was held and killed.

Doubt it is one of our missing guys. Tattoo on hand, not usually allowed as per AR 670-1.
