BBC: Army of Islam releases video of captive BBC correspondent Alan Johnston, seized in Gaza March 12.**
* Brit academics deeply concerned about human rights violations.
** The sad part is, as Theo notes below, Palestinian terrorists did not have to abduct Johnston to get this message out on the Beeb.

The BBC and most of the British ‘Liberal’ media have a long held love of the Palestinians. The fact that this reporter is spouting about how well he has been treated and how the the US and UK are to blame for all the evils in the Mid-East is par for the course. I put his kidnapping down to a publicity stunt.

Hey Jules,
The Lebanese Army attacked the Fatah al Islam militants barricaded inside the Nahr el Bared camp, this morning (local time). After approximately 12 hours of fighting, Lebanese Army units have established control over the entirety of the camps, are putting down pockets of resistance, and are within 100 meters of the building within which the Fatah al Islam leader is himself barricaded.
Earlier in the day a group of militants from the group attempted to escape to Syria. Surprise, surprise.

This is what happens when a country’s intellectuals are concrete bound anti-intellectuals. Quislings all.

Brit lecturers union
I think we’ve identified part of the UK’s problem.
If the Pals let Mr. Johnston go, and he subsequently delivers the usual anti-Israel sermon, I’ll go with the publicity stunt scenario. If they cut his head off, then I’ll be turning my cold eye on the stammering, tying-their-guts-in-knots-to-excuse-this-barbarity BBC.
