Credo in un Dio Crudel
Larry Flynt wants to buy hypocrisy in government, though there’s plenty to be had for free. But he’s on the prowl for political smut and scandal, and if you’ve got any, he’s got a million bucks for you.
Proof of a wrathful God, that this man should be blessed with wealth and success, surrounded by beautiful, easy women, and allowed to keep it all, in all its sinful hedonistic glory. On one condition.
Either that or proof of Satan and the ill-advisedness of cutting deals with the devil. Or, if you prefer the New Atheism, proof of random nothing much at all.
In which case, you’d better take it as proof of indomitable spirit, or you’ll have nothing at all. No matter what you think of Flynt and his causes, he makes no bones about it, and never stops fighting.
