Dawn Over Nashville
Al Gore, not a modern pol. Very modest though for a man who seeks Canute-like to stop rising tide, or in his case, change the weather:
“I don’t think that the skills I have are the ones that are most likely to be rewarded within this system.”
He means political system, not weather front or geological epoch.

What skills does Gorezilla have? If his father wasn’t a senator to begin with, I believe that Algore would be an assistant manager of a grocery store or some such today.
He has less charisma than Hillary! He has no imagination (recall his “reinvention of government” fiasco, where all the Federal agencies basically flim flammed him into “success”). I don’t recall him being a good people person.
Really, The Goreacle™ succeeds only by riding on the coat tails of his father’s bank account and Bill Clinton.
Well, I take it back, in part. He can play the conman very well, and give people what they want, if he isn’t held accountable, although it’s largely a marketing effort, probably not a result of any “charisma” or “vision” on the part of Algore. The current global warming hysteria is made to order for him.
So he can make good money by “speaking truth to power”, and since his sins are forgiven by his worshipping faithful, he need not stop. I don’t know that he has broken any laws (at least, not openly). AND, he’s not responsible for anything. He’s just a “private citizen” speaking his mind. With the help of celebrities and similar fools around the world.
All the (”moral”) authority, none of the responsibility, all of the income. It’s a beautiful job….why would he want to become President and actually have to work?!?!?!?!!? And at a lower pay scale?
Oh, and The Goreacle™ can sternly lecture the White House all he wants. Dictating policy is so much easier that enforcing it.
So my bet is that Gorezilla ain’t running for President…..but he’ll use that momentum to whip up some more frenzy, and build up his cash flow. Someone’s gotta pay the heating bill for his swimming pool, y’know!

As per Churchill on Atlee: A modest man, with much to be modest about.
Cheers

I think he’s fallen into the scam of a lifetime, and it’s given him delusions of gradeur. He says he isn’t good at politics, but he means he isn’t good at democracy. He doesn’t want to be president. He wants to be king of the world.

Oops. “Grandeur”. I hate it when a letter goes astray.

Assistant manager? No way. Assistant bag boy, maybe.
