Surge Update
Terrorist Death Watch is your pro-freedom scoreboard. Since Jan. 15, 2007:
29 car/truck bomb factories neutralized.
6 IED cells dismantled.
17,946 detained.
3,184 Enemy KIA, 1,106 Enemy WIA
2,493 caches found and cleared.
Don’t forget four Iraqi provinces where Sunni tribes have turned on al-Qaeda, and one Sunni district in Baghdad that’s done the same. Also, one leading Shiite party that has distanced itself from Iran, and one leading Shiite death squad master who called on his militia to stand down and has come out for Sunni-Shiite reconcilition.
Chuck Simmins, whose been keeping score of terrorist death since January 2006, wants to know why he can’t find any mention of this in the mainstream press. That’s a good question, given the fascination with numbers.

Those are very good numbers! Too bad the Dhimmicrats have closed their eyes, put their hands over their ears, and are screaming “LA LA LA LA LA!!!! I CAN’T HEAR YOU!!! LA LA LA LA LA!!!!”

How long is the pro war crowd gonna cling to the phony “the MSM doesn’t report this stuff” lifeboat?
The “MSM” does indeed report it, but its not really our goal in Iraq, is it?
The Iraqis are supposed to be doing this stuff on their own.

Are the forces in Iraq still doing “tag and release” (or capture, hand over to Iraqi government, who release)? I am wondering how many of the 17,946 detained have been released, or will be released within 6 months of detaining them.
