Three-State Solution
Jpost: Hamas’ Gaza, Fatah’s West Bank.
“The two-state solution has finally worked,” a Palestinian journalist in the Gaza Strip commented sarcastically. “Today, all our enemies have good reason to celebrate.”
Israel makes three. This sets up some interesting dynamics. The West Bank under Abbas can be turned into a Middle Eastern Switzerland … or as close a corrupt and dysfunctional approximation as the Palestinians can manage. Gaza under Hamas will be Gaza under Hamas, a violent, isolated, poverty stricken Iranity of a failed state.

Shouldn’t the wingnuts label the violence in Gaza as “birth pangs of a new Middle Eastern democracy?”
That’s what they keep calling the violence in Iraq.

Oh Rebecca, surely you aren’t asking the ant to make a logical connection! It’s much easier to make simple assertions. The scripts are kept simple for the simple minds that rehearse them.
