Summer Follies
Quick, call Pelosi! Syria is gearing up for war with Israel. Abdul at FreedomsZone suggests this news couldn’t come at a worse time for Israel, given political infighting. If that and a distraction in Gaza is what Syria is banking on, that could be a(nother) serious miscalculation.

Israel’s political infighters will unite in the face of their common enemy. But it’s worrisome because of Hamas in Gaza (and probably in the West Bank too), and Iran’s desperate and irrational desire to wage war by proxy. Israel is a fearsome warrior, but cannot stand against a ravening pack. Which means the US getting involved, and then I expect Nancy Chamberlain and her cadre of goblins to talk us to death until it’s too late to do anything worthwhile.
