What a blessing it is to have Harry Reid in so high profile for the Democrats. The man eptimizes a small man trying to look large. Central Casting couldn’t have come up with a better example of transparent slyness, bumbling incompetence and general cluelessness. Were he still alive, Frank Capra was use Reid in every movie to illustrate small-town narrowness, petty corruption, untrustworthiness and moral cowardice. One look at his face tells you everything.

Reid makes “Mr. Potter” almost “Clarence” like. Reid is one of the most vile Senators that has occupied a seat in that house. Your “legacy” will go down as one of the biggest stains in American politics.
25% Reid, you and Pelosi are doin’ a fine job…Bush 33%. Guess Reid and Pelosi haven’t quite figured out why, yet. Keep up the great work, Reid.

Reid and his caucus are so heavily invested in defeat at this point that they have gone far beyond simply proclaiming it to actively promoting it, even in the face of information that the war is now moving the other direction. Good news is now bad news for Reid and the Defeatist Party, who pant to turn Iraq over to those who behead children and lop off fingers for mixing vegetables in the same bag.
I’ll bet Nevada is proud of their Senator.

If Congress (and especially the Democratic majority) wants its approval ratings to be better than the President’s, all it has to do is
(a) stop acting like whiny school children and stop bickering among one another
(b) have better ideas than the President
(c) stop acting like a “shadow” government
(d) realize that Election 2000 has been over for the past seven years
(e) recognize that the United Soviet States of America isn’t going to exist
(f) know that the public isn’t as stupid or as gullible as those NGOs and interest groups who own, er, support them
(g) acknowledge that Washington is terrorist attack destination numero uno, and that their incumbency isn’t going to mean a pile of steaming meatballs if they have to combat mortal wounds, infections, or radiation sickness
(h) understand that war ain’t all about guns and shooting
When we begin to elect adults whose resumes don’t contain lengthy interfamily/interparty pissing matches, funky money from shady billionaires, lifetime memberships in the Karl Marx club, drug offenses as big as a telephone book, or a short spell in the Romper Rubber Room (either the Extreme Control Freak wing or the Weasels From Mars Ripped My Flesh wing), perhaps the public will give Congress better than the 25% it rightfully deserves. I’m surprised it hasn’t gone down to single digits!
