IRB Makes UK’s G
All the rage! Shakeel Bhat in the Guardian:
“I am not happy with people joking about me or making me into a cartoon, but I have more important things to think about. My protests are for those Muslims who cannot go out onto the streets to cry out against injustice. This is my duty and I believe Allah has decided this for me.”
Mr Bhat, a school dropout and former militant with a pro-Pakistan rebel group, has been arrested more than 300 times. He spends days away from his widowed mother, four brothers and his sister, travelling to protests or attending court hearings. But his family, he says, is used to it.
Neighbours describe Mr Bhat as well-mannered, sincere and dedicated. He walks to a protest if it is within six miles (10 km) of his home and hitchhikes or catches a bus if it is further. Sometimes he is the only protester.
In this country, that would make Shakeel a … loser. Doesn’t sound like he’s working on a regular basis if he has all that time to walk around Kashmir protesting and getting arrested. So how come he isn’t in Afghanistan or Iraq with the hardcore Islamic Rage cases? He isn’t a mama’s Rage Boy, is he?
I don’t want to put any ideas in his jihadi head, but if Shakeel ever finds himself ambling past a lawyer’s office and figures out he could sue Buckley F. Williams and Potfry for profiteering on his likeness, he could find himself bicycling to those protests in style!
Material concerns are not high on Bhat’s list, however:
“I do not like being called Islamic Rage Boy, it is not nice; but why should I care what people think of me in this life? The afterlife will decide my fate, not a mousemat.”

Actually, I think Islamic Rage Boy sounds like a typical leftie at a protest. All he needs is a paper mache’ head or a mis-spelled sign.

Mousemats don’t decide our fates? Good to know.

He needs to get “lawyered up” and start suing people.
