That is why they instituted a constitutionally limited--with the limits being on the government, not the people--Republic and not a Democracy. You never hear our country referred to as a Republic anymore. Neither do we have a limited government. Now we have a democracy, with "rights" residing in whatever group can claim the greatest victimhood and special needs, and politicians using ever more of the people's money to spend buying votes back home.
