Howbout That
Gentlemen of “Middle Eastern descent” out on a Saturday night with a carload of “explosive devices” when pulled over in Goose Creek, S.C., home to the Naval Weapons Station and U.S. Naval Consolidated Brig, home to enemy combatants:
Law enforcement officials closed the road about 7 p.m. after the traffic stop in Goose Creek, home to the Naval Weapons Station. The station houses the U.S. Naval Consolidated Brig, a military prison where enemy combatants have been held.
Jose Padilla and Yaser Hamdi, to be specific.
Goose Creek - Berkeley County police pulled over a vehicle in a routine traffic stop near Meyers Road and Highway 1-76 around 6 p.m. The vehicle with Florida tags was driven by two men of Middle Eastern descent. Inside police found explosive devices. Highway 1-76 near Goose Creek has since been shut down. In addition to the FBI, authorities from Goose Creek, Berkeley County, and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division are on scene. The Charleston County bomb squad has also been called. Officials on scene say that neighbors are in no immediate danger. They also report that they are unsure if a crime has been committed. This ongoing investigation will help them determine the exact details regarding this event.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation said there was ‘no immediate threat’ after a portion of St. James Avenue, U.S. Highway 176, in Goose Creek was shut down for several hours Saturday evening.Authorities closed the road near the Devon Pointe Apartments about 7 p.m. after a traffic stop, and it was still closed as of press time.By 11:20 p.m. there were more than a dozen police cars, fire trucks and an ambulance surrounding a gray sedan. A bomb squad robot was looking into the trunk of the car, and the passenger’s door was open. The Red Cross had also arrived on the scene. At 11:45 p.m., Julie Johnson, assistant special agent in charge, FBI-Columbia, told reporters amassed at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses that there was no immediate threat but she would answer no questions. She said the FBI was still trying to determine if a crime had been committed. She said the agency was working with state and local agencies, and that they were going to be there a long time.A witness, Jack Knuoff, said that at about 6 p.m. he saw police make a traffic stop where three police officers were talking with one man who might have been of Middle Eastern descent.
Knuoff, who was sitting at the scene in a lawn chair, said he didn’t think the stop was important, and went home, but returned after his brother called to say more police had been called to the scene.
Good morning, Punditeers, etal. Pull up your lawn chair, there’s more. A line-of-duty murder and a confession. Dems sweat, its not a pretty sight: Como se dice angst? Tired of losing, some are siding with winners. But losing’s winning, isn’t it? Whatever, I can’t keep it straight. But I think we can all agree it is your patriotic duty to watch this: Bikini girls with machine guns. Perhaps stuff go boom is more to your taste?
Confidential to LZK: Tried to reply but kept getting a bounce back … possibly due to your paranoia issues? Thanks for the nod but not sure what you’re talking about. Ask your pals at FDL about this site. This could be a case of seeing what you want to see, which judging by your theory sounds like could be a chronic problem. In any case, all readership always greatly appreciated, even by investigative journalists who think our G is drumming up terror threats. I recommend you immediately view this to correct your thinking.

What is it with Middle Eastern men carrying around explosives? I say the first one to scream “Islamophobia” gets a direct hit with a cluebat.

South Carolina? I’m completely open-minded on this one, but having traveled countless times through the state, past South of the Border and myriad other fireworks purveyors

I’ll wait until we know more. We all know that there is no real threat from Islamist “criminals.” Everyone from the FBI to the Dhims have told us there is no serious threat from Muslims in this country. From murder at LAX to the Bakery guys, there’s no serious threat.

I always carry “explosive devices”….well kinda. One is a Smith & Wesson 40 cal.. The other is a S & W, 9MM. Two clips for each, locked and loaded and they do go boom. Does that count?
the FBI was still trying to determine if a crime had been committed.
The FBI, has there collective heads, up their collective asses, once again.
