« Don’t Turn The Music Too LoudHillary Clinton on the possibility of another terrorist attack »
As an Englishman I am dismayed, to put it lightly, at Britain’s continuing meltdown. Our so called institutions are falling apart. The government is at best incompetent, the Anglian church ineffectual, and the poor old military-overstretched, undermanned and dangerously short of equipment. Ten years of ‘New Labour’ under the malevolentcontrol of Blair and Brown has seen our public services wrecked, the pensions of millions of diligent workers destroyed, and society falling apart. Only this week we have seen an 11 year old boy gunned down in a British city, possibly by a 12 year old. How bad must things get before action is taken. The Judiciary have lost the plot, a serial child-molester just got a community rehabilitation order, murderers are given light sentences, and illegal immigrants who commit serious crimes have their ‘human rights’ put before those of the victims. The Police spend half their time on paper work the other handing out speeding fines. Only when there is a ‘media’ driven crime is there anything done. If someone breaks into house make them a cup of tea and offer them your wife, because thats all that is going to save you!
The spin of the Blair years has now been replaced by the arrogance of the ‘Stalinist’ policies of Gordon Brown. The results will be the same just presented in a different way. Brown has had some good press coverage, coming from an acquiescent media, giving gravitas after Blair’s ‘Hollywoodisation’ of giving an interview. People are too quick to forget that almost all of Britains internal policies have been ‘controlled’ by Brown for many years-’he who holds the purse strings etc’. Money has been thrown at the public services without any regard for cost control or accountability, unheard of in the private sector, with the resulting finantial carnage we see today.
The Military have had regiments cut, funding reduced (in comparison with other departments), and have been thrown to the lions in Iraq and Afghanistan by a government that has no understanding of how it works or what it needs. Not one single member of the government in the last 10 years has served in the military so what do you expect. Several were members of CND (The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament) including Blair. They have an active dislike of all things military, but will use them if there is a good headline in it. See Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Iraq and Afghanistan. They send troops willy-nilly to all the worlds trouble spots (which I support) but with out the right equipment and ROE to win. Yet they will not touch Zimbabwe because of the Foreign Office’s misplaced guilt over the Empire, and their love of all nutters everywhere.
The Church of England has been ‘neutered’, by a succession of weak and ineffectual Archbishops of Canterbury. This is a political appointment and which Prime Minister is going to appoint someone who is going to stand up to them. Militant Islam is gaining support due to the governments refusal to act against the ‘Preachers of Hate’. People who do not accept British Law, prefering to impose Sharia on a subservient population, are using those same British Laws to protect themselves to the benefit of a growing number of dodgy lawyers.
As for the future: Well a Brown victory at the next election will bring more of the same. Worse still Silly Hilly in the White House will cause global chaos. A weak America will allow all those who are at odds with us to run riot. As long as they do not attack America directly they will be safe. Just remember that ‘lil Billy’s idea of fighting the ’War on Terror’ was to use his intern as a humidor.
The 21st Century is going to be bloodier than the last.
Apologies for the rambling nature of this but all of you familiar with my blog will know that writing is not my strong point!!! http://www.theospark.blogspot.com

Fortress America Theo. Plenty of room here.
August 24th, 2007 at 11:15 am
Plenty of room, yes. But it just pisses me off to hand over the mother country without a fight.
August 24th, 2007 at 11:19 am
Don’t worry Rebecca there will be a fight. The second English Civil War is brewing!!
August 24th, 2007 at 11:38 am
Good to know, Mr. Spark. Especially since even America is no guarantee of safety, as we’re currently in a struggle with our own troup of surrender monkeys.
August 24th, 2007 at 11:54 am
Another Civil War for Britain and another Revolution for America.
Because much of what you describe in British society holds for the states as well.
Considering just Europe, it seems to me that Britain has been especially targeted for takeover by Islamists.
Radical imams who haven’t been booted or incarcerated are treading a fine line between their public pronouncements and the “instructions” they give to the faithful behind closed doors. “Two faced” would be an understatement, since lying to the infidel is an integral part of the radical agenda and, as such, is sanctioned.
Plus, since things like the shutdown of Finsbury Park Mosque these guys know they have to behave more circumspectly, at least in public.
So many plots come to light in Britain, from the horror of July 2005, to the foiled “liquids on airliners” to the most recent car bombs. These known phenomena seem like just the tip of a very large iceberg.
I cheered when government leaders in Australia said to its own radical (rising) contingent….”Look, these are our civil laws, this is how we do things. Love it or leave it.” Not that “they” will quit trying to infest Australian society as well, but at least the statement drew a clear line in the sand as opposed to half measures and dancing around in the grips of political correctness.
Because erosion of civil society is the agenda of Islamists. They’d prefer it be fast, but they have the patience to continue to undermine civil institutions.

Hey, Theo:
Want to really vitalize the counter revolution against the marxist bastages and jihadi lovers?
Just start spreading the word that there’s a huge business interest in the US that is planning on taking over the UK and turning it into a Medieval Theme Park and Resort after the radiation clears up.
What radiation? Why, that’s the first part of the plan. This business magnate has purchased a controlling bloc of leadership within the US military/industrial/political complex to ensure that once either the jihadi or the marxists win the UK, it gets sterilized. But only by use of neutron bombs. That way the radiation is less of an issue.
Everyone will rally together to fight the nefarious plans of a US conglomerate.

Ha ha, Grimmy. Sadly I think London will be hit with a terrorist ‘nuke’ type thing in the next 20 years os sooner. They know that our gov or whats left won’t retaliate. The Islamic War is going to go to ‘Last Civilisation standing’.
August 24th, 2007 at 12:24 pm
It has been very sad to see what has happened to Britain. Sad and frightening. We are on the same path. The only difference is that the latest mutant child of Marxism, Transnational Progressivism, hasn’t developed as fully here as it has in Britain and the rest of the EU–yet. Those countries have a longer history of socialism in one form or another. While we’ve embraced multiculturalism and PC mind-locks, and the greens have slowly, and mostly quietly, grabbed more government power than most people realize, we haven’t been indoctrinating our children for quite as long. And we still have enough freedom that those children who aren’t seduced by the social engineers’ collectivist ideologies (or who has parents who teach them otherwise) that the children can still use their reasoning mind.
Like Britain, however, this won’t last much longer. Soon we will have generations who have no knowledge of things ever being different. The world will go into a terrible dark ages then.
I wonder if we’ll find the courage to fight it all.
August 24th, 2007 at 1:36 pm
Well said Theo. We are standing at the abyss, and the tipping point will soon be reached as we replace native Englishmen on their way out with the barbarian hordes on their way in. Thank you Nu-Labour for your ten years of treason.
August 24th, 2007 at 3:49 pm
I can see it now…Theo Churchill…give ‘em bloody hell, Theo. Need any useless Yanks…let me know, I’m a damn good one. If I do say so myself.
August 24th, 2007 at 6:39 pm
This is what happens when Left wing, communist, traitor, politcally correct,European Union lapdog cowards are allowed to run our country!
August 24th, 2007 at 6:44 pm
It saddens me to see Great Britain become less great, and the United Kingdom less united. Even worse, it’s a slow motion self-destruction, and very painful to wash.
As others have said, Theo, you’re welcome over here anytime. We needs our totty, we do!
August 24th, 2007 at 7:33 pm
Yes, we do, JeffS.
Now, I’ve another blog to read, here. Not that I’ve never set cursor in here before, but never before with a purpose…to leave a comment.
Tally-ho, Theo~! We see ‘em coming, and hope we know what to do when we have to!
August 24th, 2007 at 9:57 pm
No, Theo. Pages upon pages of delectable British totty is your forte. But I digress - at least before RebeccaH swats me over the head!
I took a quick glance at your article and it fits quite well. Right now, the entire world is undergoing a fits-and-starts schism. On the one hand, leftists wishing for the old days of bread lines and hardliners. On the other hand, Islamic terrorists wishing for the old old days of riding oxcarts and a very narrow interpretation of the Qu’ran. We got rid of communism, but Vladimir Putin wants it back. We got attacked on 9/11, and now people are petrified to fight back, and any glimmer of patriotism is hit foursquare by the mob media and the elitist white guilt brigade.
Thanks to the massive strain of guiltensis Britannia, John Bull, Margaret Thatcher and other stout, stiff upper lip Britons are being replaced by George “I’m Still Mourning About Saddam” Galloway and Ken “If I had the chance, Big Ben would be the Politburo” Livingston clones, controlled in turn by a phalanx of intellectual elite who really, really admire the shari’a law and wish that one day, eating trans fats and voting Tory/Conservative would merit 50 hard lashes with a cane or a good and proper stoning.
England is in a unique position. Does it passively submit to the whims of the extreme ends of the political spectrum, continue on its path of settling down its arms for the hopes to placate the ones who threaten them, and finally complete Orwell’s vision of a Britain indentured to the elite class, permanently in arrested development, with a language roughly resembling “ga-ga-goo-goo” without a hint of obscenity? Or does England look around and identify the problems of leftists with too much time on their hands, Islamists looking to blow off hands, and politicians with their hands frequently in the till, and say, “Winston Churchill could bloody clean this place as clean as a dog’s nose before his cigar goes out - but since he’s not here, we’ll show him how we take the trash to the dustbin!”
August 25th, 2007 at 4:03 am
No matter how you draw the picture, it’s gonna get a whole lot harder with every day of appeasement. It is happening to us in small increments, in the same way that we’ve seen the idea of individual liberty go down the collectivists toilet. Baby steps, baby steps.
Since the followers of the Islamists are mystics who think only of the next world, it is easy for them to have patience in this world.
August 25th, 2007 at 4:41 am
“Considering just Europe, it seems to me that Britain has been especially targeted for takeover by Islamists.”
The above comment, yes perfectly correct. Islamic countries, in a meeting I think took place in the 1970’s, made as a stated aim the takeover of the UK to make it the first muslim country in the West. I cannot remember exactly chapter and verse offhand, but that decision by them really happened.
August 25th, 2007 at 12:19 pm
“Thanks to the massive strain of guiltensis Britannia, John Bull, Margaret Thatcher and other stout, stiff upper lip Britons are being replaced by George “I’m Still Mourning About Saddam” Galloway and Ken “If I had the chance, Big Ben would be the Politburo” Livingston clones, controlled in turn by a phalanx of intellectual elite who really, really admire the shari’a law and wish that one day, eating trans fats and voting Tory/Conservative would merit 50 hard lashes with a cane or a good and proper stoning.”
That’s a great sentence. Long, but great :-)
Georgie the porgie Galloway (”What Oil for Fraud money ? What Miriam Foundation ?”) being one of my least favoUrite Britons. I was glad to see some wrist slapping (temporary suspension ?) directed at him recently over all that. Not enough, but better than nothing.
While pronouncements from Ken Livingstone (still Mayor of London ?) relative to Muslims and their demands…it would seem they couldn’t have a better friend to further the agenda than dimwitted Ken.
August 25th, 2007 at 9:10 pm
tanstaafl:
Sorry for the long sentence. When things flow, things flow. What can I say :D
