Walking in Dreams
All of the guest bloggers last week did a great job, and I thank them for giving me a break and giving all of us a highly entertaining week. The greatest honor for all of us was having a pair of grunts take the time to weigh in between combat patrols and preparing to leave Iraq. Here’s one that again shows why Teflon Don is the best American combat writer currently operating in Iraq. Gordon posted this at his own site last week. Haunting, terrible, bleak, a look at the void, reassuring, at peace. All of that in a few paragraphs, all of that really in just a few words: Walking in dreams.
Here’s his CO and fellow guestblogger, Badger Six. The other best American combat writer currently operating in Iraq. Still a Gunfight.

People like Teflon Don and Badget Six give me hope for the future, because they’re going to come home and lead the nation my grandchildren will come of age in. They’ve come through the fire, and they’ll make far better leaders than most of the current crop of blow-dried baby-kissers we have in office today.
