Her on support base has distanced itself from her (with good reason). I’ve been throwing her name out a several nutroots blogs and immediately get pounced upon with witty comebacks such as “SHE’S NOT A LIBERAL!” or “SHE DOESN’T SPEAK FOR THE DEMOCRATS!” Sorry nutrooters, she is, and she does.
And you’re right, the battle is visably taking its toll on Nancy. She’s looks like she’s starting to melt.

Pelosi lost it when she couldn’t shove Murtha down the throats of the House Intelligence committee (disgusting imagery–my apologies). She lost her first fight and she hasn’t won anything of significance since. I knew she was done when Code Pink began to harass her.

I’d wondered just how it was that Congress is in such dire straights, floundering in all directions. Darin’s BDS™ appears terminal, but he is spot on with “…the final proof that the backbone of the House is only as strong as its speaker.”

And this is pure gold:

“Man, if this lady can’t hold her own at a table full of gossiping hens who care more about the future of Britney’s babies then that of their country, no wonder impeachment is off the goddamn table!”

Pelosi is all blow and no go — surely a classic example of how lefties view the world (i.e., form over function)*. Baba Wawa herself confirms that philosophy with this gem of wisdom:

“Well, Democrat or Republican, it’s not important. What matters is that you’re the first woman speaker of the House, and that means a lot!”

The next woman who aspires to be the Speaker of the House, and is actually competent enough to do the job, will have to work three times as hard to prove herself thanks to Pelosi’s idiocy.

Congratulations, Nancy: in addition to shafting the entire country, you also raised that glass ceiling for all your potential successors in Congress, and possibly in other areas as well. All so you could be the “first woman Speaker of the House”.

Such a waste.
