Haditha Frame Job
According to this report, citing Marine intel included in the mountain of Haditha evidence, it was a setup. Commentator wants to know why the media never picked that up. Good question. Maybe it didn’t fit the story line. Maybe nobody on either side leaked it, or pushed it. Anyway, Murtha’s a Marine. Presumeably that involves a sense of honor, which would include a desire to make good on any erroneous pre-trial, excuse me, pre-arraignment accusations of murder.

You sir, are obviously confusing Murtha with someone who gives a (F) damn. I have yet to see the Marine Corps do what they know is right and excommunicate him for breathing.

Easy one JC. Since it was was a frame up designed to ensnare Marines, and the only one it has ended up ensnaring is Murtha, it is not worth reporting.

Where is the story of the enemies callous and cynical use of civilians to build a story they knew the media in the West would jump on? The cost incurred by the families of these Marines ought to be reimbursed. I suggest we collect from every media outlet that made a meal of this story, acting like the easily manipulated morons the enemy counted on when they planned the whole thing.

Salty, I’ll hold the rifle and you shake them down. We’ll do it the same way that Murtha did it - no chance of appeal - convicted and sentenced at one sitting. Sauce for the goose…..

Your assumption of honor in that particular old marine is not borne out by the facts in the case of the unindicted co-conspirator in ABSCAM.
Plus there’s an air of self-serving dogmatism and not particular intelligence hanging about John Murtha.
