Dental Journalism

It’s like pulling teeth. But numbers-obsessed wire service is forced to admit it. Numbers aren’t going their way.

If I may be permitted a little yeah-but journalism of my own … yeah, but … the minute numbers spike up, are they going to be as slow about heralding the failure of the surge as they have been about acknowledging that maybe this is working?

It’s just not cricket.  But it’s not exactly like they’ve been in the game.

At the rate the good news stories are coming from Iraq I am going to have to start doing my good news from Iraq pieces later in the day so I can cover them all in one post.

I bet a donut that half this claimed “sectarian violence” these days is locals just “taking out the trash” when they find some.

This wasn’t supposed to happen. No doubt sales of antacids is spectacular among the people who were counting on wholesale slaughter to sell papers and garner votes.
