Partner for Peace

Never mind the nuke-lust, the terrorism, the murder of American soldiers, the Zionist-entity erasure, domestic oppression and efforts to dominate the entire Middle East, all of that with whacked-out endtime Iranovision.  That embassy thing, it’s history!

Maybe this will get some people rethinking their notions of this regime as a partner for peace. Iranian minister: Gays should be hanged. Tortured, too.

Homosexuals deserve to be executed or tortured and possibly both, an Iranian leader told British MPs during a private meeting at a peace conference, The Times has learnt.

Mohsen Yahyavi is the highest-ranked politician to admit that Iran believes in the death penalty for homosexuality after a spate of reports that gay youths were being hanged.

President Ahmadinejad, questioned by students in New York two months ago about the executions, dodged the issue by suggesting that there were no gays in his country.

Under the Freedom of Information Act, the FCO released papers to The Times about the death penalty being used in Iran for homosexuality, adultery and sex outside marriage.

Minutes taken by an official describe a meeting between British and Iranian MPs at the Inter-Parliamentary Union, a peace body, in May. When the Britons raised the hangings of Asqari and Marhouni, the leader of the Iranian delegation, Mr Yahyavi, a member of his parliament’s energy committee, was unflinching. He “explained that according to Islam gays and lesbianism were not permitted”, the record states. “He said that if homosexual activity is in private there is no problem, but those in overt activity should be executed [he initially said tortured but changed it to executed]. He argued that homosexuality is against human nature and that humans are here to reproduce. Homosexuals do not reproduce.”

Nicole Pichet, a researcher who also took notes of the gathering, told The Times that the discussion began with British MPs discussing the underage gay hangings. Mr Yahyavi responded by saying homosexuality was to blame for a lot of diseases such as Aids.

But we must use our words. Surely these are people who can be reasoned with.

“Iranian minister: Gays should be hanged.”

That’s quite a coincidence, that’s exactly how I feel about Iranian ministers in the the government of the mad mullahs.

    Just don’t ‘waterboard’ them, please.

Maybe this will convince some people this regime is not a suitable partner for peace.

Nope. They’re against Bush, therefore the Iranians can do what they please. I expect Sean Penn to return to Iran any day now, myself. Probably to demonstrate that the Iranians hang gays only after a scrupulously fair trial.

I’m guessing you’d have a better chance at successful negotiations with von Ribbentrop.

I hope the students who were so generous with their applause of Ahmadinejad aren’t too traumatized by this report, and its apparent contradiction with what Mr. President told them. I’m sure Columbia has plenty of volk on hand to explain it all away. There is no contradiction. He said there are no homosexuals. He just didn’t mention the reason: they are eradicated as soon as they are found.

They’ve attacked our embassy. kidnapped Americans, and their terrorist proxies have murdered hundreds of Americans.

Now, it’s war to the knife until the Iranian regime is destroyed. No deals, no negotiated settlement.

That’s my policy, anyway, and if people like me ever get into power we’re going to destroy Iran whether they have a nuclear program or not.

And, that’s not a mistranslation. I mean exactly what say.

Dave, sounds like a plan to me.

They’ve been making war on us for almost three decades. It’s about time we made war back at them. The minimum to begin with should be the realization that they are at war with us, something too many liberals, MSM, and Congresscritters do not seem to have the wit to comprehend.

The Iranians put these evil clowns into power in the first place. They bear the primary responsibility for removing them. That seems to be beyond their power. Too bad, because they have only until the Mullahs start flinging nukes around to do it. Once the Mullahs toss nukes at Tel Aviv or smuggle them into the USa for terrorist attacks the nuclear retaliation will fry the Iranian people as well as the Mullahs. There will be no way to distnguish the pro-Mullah from the anti-Mullah Iranians, so they will all die together.

The best thing the Iranians could hope for now is an Iranian Pinochet, who would overthrow the Pharaohs of Tehran and set the country back on its feet. I suspect the Pharaohs have anticipated this, and have ensured that all the generals are properly loyal and/or neutered. Also, that is one of the things the Islamic Republican Guard is for. I see disaster coming, and a bloodbath. Most of that blood will be Muslim.
