Surrenderists Lose
… another round, as strings-attached war-funding measure intended to pay for combat while rendering it pointless fails in the Senate.
Well, that’s the battle. Now Reid has promised to hold his breath until he turns bluer. Troop-supporting war opponents say the Pentagon can eat its own insides.
Irony of the day, from the party of free-lunch advocacy: “The days of a free lunch are over.” Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.

I’d like to know just where the military gets a free lunch, period. They deserve our support.
Schumer, and the rest of his fellow Surrenderistas, can kiss my veteran’s a$$.

“The days of a free lunch are over,” said Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.
Wonder how he squares this with his position on SChip?

I’m tickled shitless, I filled and sent that Hairy Reid form out.
Can just see that sniveling bastard, wondering WHO Sgt. Williams Kola is and when is he (Hairy) going to get his $2,500,000 US Dollars.

I say the President should summon Congress into session on December 25 to consider a funding Bill. the troops don’t get to spend Christmas at home. Why should Congress.

“Our troops continue to fight and die valiantly. And our Treasury continues to be depleted rapidly, for a peace that we seem far more interested in achieving than Iraq’s own political leaders,” Reid said.
Be prepared for an amateur fisking:
Our troops continue to fight and die valiantly
But not so many since The Surge.
our Treasury continues to be depleted rapidly
But not so much since the national deficit seems to be decreasing.
And our Treasury… for a peace that we seem far more interested in achieving than Iraq’s own political leaders,” Reid said.
This, in the face of accommodations among Iraq’s leading politicians, who seem to understand that acquiescence is going to get more for their country (and their particular tribe) than the old, tribal conflict.
Troop-supporting war opponents say the Pentagon can eat its own insides.
The “free lunch” doesn’t mean what it used to mean.

Reid is a vile person…and here I thought Daschle was a jerk?
Nevada, you must be proud…of course old Reid, brings you gifts. Logic would say that those in Nevada, that vote for this vile person, are just as vile.
Personally, if something really nasty happened at Groom Lake, (area 51) that destroyed Vegas…Gee, to bad.

And the Feds thought a paisano controlled Vegas was bad, huh?

The Pentagon should carefully target any rearrangement of funds so that Copperhead Senators / Representatives are hit.

Easy Cid. There are 17 counties here. One county has half the population, all the unions, and hence most of the entitlement crowd. It attracts Democrats like flies to a turd. That is Dingy Harry’s political business plan and I have to admit it’s effective. It makes him essentially Sen Reid, (D-Clark County). I can assure you he is roundly hated in the other 16 counties and has been since well before he became majority leader. He doesn’t venture out here much, but we don’t have the numbers to do much about his political machine that passes out fat land deals and federal pork to its patrons. (How come all the big political machine operations historically seem to be Democrat: Daleys, Prendergast, Tamany, all of Louisiana, etc)?
As an offset, I would offer you Sen Ensign, who is a Great American. I don’t usually praise politicians of any stripe, but he seems to be the real deal.
