You Gotta Believe!
Whether you’re going to the mall, church or the coffee shop this morning, look at the people on either side of you. Chances are they believe our government knew about 9/11 in advance and decided to ignore the threat, and is concealing the truth about UFOs and the JFK assassination. Or if they don’t exactly believe those things, that they consider them to be false but true.
MVDG notes that there’s a difference between ignoring warnings and a conspiracy. I’d suggest there’s an even bigger difference between failing to grasp the significance and connect the dots on odd bits of intel, and ignoring actual attacks on U.S. sovereign territory and assets, as was the practice under some prior administrations.

Oh, I already know some people who believe those things, and in fact, will buy into just about any conspiracy or nut theory that comes along. For instance, did you know that Laura Bush is about to divorce George because he had an affair with Condi Rice? It’s true, because my mother in law saw it in one of her “scandal sheets” from the grocery store!

You would think the neocon cabal that put Bush in power would tell all its VIP’s and their family to avoid air travel on 9/11 but no–
I guess Ted Olson didn’t get the memo.
“Mr. Olson is one of the nation’s top conservative lawyers, having represented President-elect Bush in Bush v. Gore and served as Mr. Bush’s solicitor general…
The attacks of 9/11 took a grievous personal toll on Mr. Olson. His wife, Barbara, a conservative pundit, had planned to fly to Los Angeles for a television appearance on the eve of his 61st birthday (he was born Sept. 11, 1940). She postponed her trip so she could have breakfast with him on his special day. As a result, she was aboard American Airlines Flight 77 when hijackers crashed it into the Pentagon.”
Maybe Ted Olson’s wife is living in with an assumed identity somewhere and he visits her every other weekend. I heard she was spotted at a Jamba Juice in Boca Raton.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste. A mind sans its rational faculty is worse than a waste, it is worthless.
