It’s good to see Al Z so blatantly ludicrous relative to the nature of the current situation in Iraq.
However, having made Mess-o-po-tamia, “the land between two rivers”, Greater Syria (or whatever the label for the region) the focal point for the success of jihad, if anyone thinks those guys are going to go away soon, stop trying, “submit” to defeat…
Just as Syria will continue to try to assassinate anyone and everyone sound and democratic inside Lebanon until no one is left to resist…

Of course there could always be a resurgence of al-Qaida activity in Iraq, but something tells me they’ve worn out their welcome with the local populace. Al-Z and Tehran Nancy are just indulging in wishful thinking at this point.

Zawahiri also said that the British in Basra were “retreating”. I knew some folks at the ceremony to turn over security to the Iraqis and besides the lousy plane flight out of the city, they wouldn’t classify it as a “retreat”.

Why does Al-Zawahri’s dribbling remind me so much of Saddams Information Minister Comical Ali………..”There are no American infidels in Baghdad. Never!”
He sounds beaten.

In a follow up videotape, al-Zawahri reiterated his position that the United States is losing in Iraq. “This war is lost, and this surge is not accomplishing anything, as is shown by the extreme violence in Iraq this week,” he said. “As many had foreseen the escalation has failed to produce the intended results.”
Hmmm, could be I got some quotes mixed up, but I’m pretty sure that’s the gist of it.
