OSCEOLA, Iowa - Presidential contender Mike Huckabee bagged a pheasant yesterday, offering Iowa voters the image of an experienced outdoorsman on the hunt.
Holding up a dead bird, he joked,“See, that’s what happens if you get in my way.”
Cheesiness of dragging along photogs to watch the display of frontiersmanship aside, the threats vs. animals thing is already a touchy subject.

Huck and his buddies also sent another message. After walking out to the middle of no where, at one point, they turned and fired their weapons over the reporters’ heads.
Just a little good old country boy fun. Y’all don’t get nervous on me, now. C’mon over here and hold this bloody bird.
I’m beginning to like Huck.
