There needs to be a third party. A freedom from coercion party. The Freedom Party. Our symbol wouldn’t be a donkey or an elephant, but Patrick Henry.

Rudy holds no such reservations, and if victorious, he will have cleverly convinced a party preoccupied with terrorism and security to give liberalism another chance.

But what does that mean? I used to think of myself as fairly liberal on social matters, but I don’t know what liberalism is anymore. The lunatic left have hijacked everything.

Thats cuz you were probably a classical liberal RebeccaH, like I suspect most of the commenters here are. Individual rights, rule of law, free markets, the stuff that made America the best. Those concepts were pushed to the political “right” , I dunno, sometime in the 60’s when “rights” became something somebody else owed you.
