Abu Haw Haw/Taliban Rose Azzam al-Amriki rips up his U.S. passort dramatically for the camera, warns Bush re ME trip, helpfully explains extent of U.S. defeat:
Al Qaeda’s American spokesman called on the terror network’s fighters to greet President Bush with “bombs and booby-trapped vehicles” when he visits the Middle East later this week, according to a video posted Sunday.
The rhetoric-packed video also featured the California-born Adam Gadahn tearing up his U.S. passport as part of a “symbolic” protest against Washington and marked the terror network’s first message of 2008.
“Now we direct an urgent call to our militant brothers in Muslim Palestine and the Arab peninsula … to be ready to receive the Crusader slayer Bush in his visit to Muslim Palestine and the Arab peninsula in the beginning of January and to receive him not with flowers or clapping but with bombs and booby-trapped vehicles,” Gadahn said in Arabic, though he spoke mostly in English during the video.
Most of the 50-minute long video, titled “An Invitation to Reflection and Repentance,” appeared to be aimed at ordinary Americans, with Gadahn saying Al Qaeda felt the need to release the statement after Washington’s “defeat” in Iraq and Afghanistan and failed attempts by Bush and other diplomats to bring peace to the Middle East.
“We felt it necessary to address the American people and explain to them some of the facts about these critical and fast-moving events,” said the California-born Gadahn, who wore a white and red headscarf.
“The first questions Americans might ask is has America really been defeated? The answer is yes and on all fronts,” he said while sitting behind a desk with a coffee cup and laptop computer nearby.
Events are moving so fast I missed the defeat. Rapid pace at present precludes me from watching all 50 minutes of this. Anyone who has and cares to summarize our defeat on all fronts, feel free to do so in comments.

In the midst of the serious setbacks Al-Qaeda experiences in the various fronts, Yahya Adam, also known as Azzam the American, portrays America and its allies as losing the battle with the mujahideen everywhere. He attributes the supposed ability of “lightly-armed mujahideen” to defeat “the strongest and best equipped army on earth” to what he views as the mujahideen’s superior moral standing.
Yahya Adam then engages in a theological discussion, the purpose of which is to enhance the impression that what he describes as immoral behavior by America throughout the world in fact stems from the corrupt nature of America’s religious creed. He explains that though Christianity was initially rooted in monotheism, it turned into “Jesus-worship, Mariolatry, iconolatry, cross-worship, saint-worship, and even Pope- and priest- worship” and betrayed the commitment to worship God alone as prescribed in the Bible. His suggestion for non-Muslims is to adopt Islam, thus abandoning moral corruption and escaping hellfire.
In order to demonstrate his rejection of America and what he views as its inferior moral standing, Yahya Adam destroys his American passport in front of the camera, explaining this act as a “symbolic rejection of American citizenship which honorable decent and compassionate people are ashamed to carry.”
Most importantly, in a desperate attempt to turn Americans against their government, he portrays the current administration as a group of “militant fanatics” which through its policy attempts to hasten the Christian Apocalypse. He explains that it is this administration’s policy that put Americans on a collision course with Islam and Muslims. He then advises Americans to put pressure on American representatives in Washington, “whether Republicans or Democrats, to heed the legitimate demands of the Muslims as spelled out by Sheikh Osama Bin Laden, Sheikh Ayman Al-Zawahiri and others…” Moreover, he calls upon Americans, both civilians and military, to forsake Christianity and convert to Islam in order to escape divine punishment.
He closes his message by announcing the inevitable victory of Islam, saying: “In spite of the trials and tribulations a bright and promising future is in store for Islam and its champions, and a bleak and barren future is in store for unbelief and its advocates and helpers. So if you are not on the side of Islam, or are in the ranks of its enemies, then ask God for guidance and make the right choice, and repent before it is too late.”

So Adam Gadahn ripped up his US passport. Some symbolism, as it’s not a document he could ever use again without ending up in the custody of the US military. Doubtful he’d end up in Gitmo, though, since he’s a citizen, but I’m sure his legal troubles would occupy him for years (alas, since I feel the only fit future for him is execution as a traitor).
Also, the good Bishop is perfectly correct about no-go zones in Britain. Muslims in western countries everywhere have adopted the tactics of American ghetto militants, thus creating the same conditions for themselves and their societies. It will take years for the Europeans to undo the damage, if they ever can.

One sermon warns believers to protect their faith by distancing themselves from the “evil influence” of their non-Muslim British neighbours.
One way for them to do this is to high-tail it back to where they came from.
Let me understand something: I am no religionist of any stripe, but I’m having a problem with the idea that Christians betrayed the ideology of monotheism by worshiping Christ as God, etc., BUT Islam worships only Allah. Why is it, then, that Muslims go ballistic when anyone says word one about He Who Shall Not Be Mentioned By Infidels (Pee be in his tea)?

The Holy Koran (…aka Mohammed’s guide to household management and successful marauding) is full of condemnations of polytheists.
I guess Christianity qualifies as “polytheism” because of the Trinity.
And yes, Mohammed is said to have insisted he was “just” a man.The holy Prophet himself did not claim holiness.
It is so all rock and roll and I am quite certain that God, Allah, Jehovah, Yahweh sees it as I do.
(well, everyone else on the planet speaks for GAJY, why can’t I ?)
While Mohammed, as the lawgiver whose likeness is engraved into the US Supreme Court bldg., has lost significant cachet as a function of those outlaws who have selected the bellicose passages of the Koran to give credence to their agenda.

The Muslims treat Mohammed as if he were equal to god in fact it seems that they have God kowtowing to Mo. Not like Eziekel or Malachi who were mortal prophets.
So there’s the polytheism.
