It’s habitual with governments Salty, to make a mess by ignorant blundering then use the excuse that the results have to be cleaned up to intrude even more. Inevitably they make an even bigger mess, until the government’s control encompasses the entire economy. Sadly few people recognize what a scam this is, and of those few some are just crackpots.

As for the subprime mortgage crisis: I know this and you know this. I’m sure there are others who know this. I don’t know about your or these others, but I’m not so much as an economic dilettante and I’ve just been waiting for the fall that was perfectly predictable. And don’t you just love the same government now chomping at the bit to write even more “corrective” legislation that will rein in the greedy bastard bankers and other lenders?

What pandering? Every one of those illegal aliens is a Democratic voter. That’s Hillary getting in touch with her base.

As for the subprime mortgage crisis, this is the result of the “Redlining” crisis of a few years ago. Remember that? Banks were discovered not making loans to people who would not be able to pay them back. Consequently the banks were hauled into court and before Committees of indignant Congresscritters and forced to loosen up the rules for selected minorities, who are now finding that they can’t repay their loans. Government doing something about this is government mucking up the problem government created in the first place. Get government out of the whole business.

Uh… excuse me, but a woman who comes to the United States without a visa or any kind of proper documentation is illegal. Let me repeat that: she is in the country illegally. What kind of feminism makes a special case for a woman because she is brown or black? Wasn’t feminism all about equality for women (which, in my understanding, meant equal consideration and equal responsibility), and when did it start to make exceptions for skin color and/or political adherence?

Pandering Alert

Isn’t it the job of the President of the US to uphold the laws of the land ?

Doesn’t the swearing in ceremony require a promise to uphold the Constitution and (by extension) the laws of the land ?

Even Jimmy Carter understood he’d have to work to change the laws if he didn’t like what some of them said.

Hillary, apparently, found her groove pre New Hampshire primary.

The “gender” card and the “compassion” card.
