Grim Milestone
Approaching. AP’s weekly tally places Iraq war dead at 3,927.
With the dramatic drop in violence and resulting drop in U.S. deaths, the grim milestone of 4,000 is likely to be reached on or perhaps shortly before the 5th anniversary of the 2003 invasion. Just in time for Congress and whoever is still standing in the Democratic primary race to seize that particular bloody shirt and wave it while renewing withdrawal demands. Presuming of course they have not been thoroughly shamed by the ongoing success in Iraq. Despite the prevailing climate of cat-tongue gotage re Iraq, I doubt that.
A more optimistic view is that whoever is still standing, with a finger to the wind, will recogniZe that Americans want to win, that Americans like winners, and that the path to victory has been plainly marked. I always try to be optimistic, but despite the prevailing climate of grudging reality acknowledgement, I doubt that.
March ‘08 you’ll recall was the magic date by which Iraq’s problems would be solved by our unconditional exit, according to plans worked out by some of the best strategic surrender minds set to this task last year.

[...] Jules Crittenden noted that far from grim, American resolve in Iraq is resillient — which may be what’s really “grim” to some in MSM. [...]

The Dhimmicrats and their RINO allies are shameless bastards, so I don’t think that they would restrain themselves from shame or embarrassment.
No, if they do restrain themselves, it’s because it’s politically expedient, once again demonstrating their complete willingness to walk on the bodies of our honored dead to stay in power.

No one’s fault but our own TRJ.
When the citizenry tolerates treason and traitors, the citizenry is fully to blame.

“As of Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at least 3,927 members of the U.S. military have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count. “–The Jackals of the Press
Yeah? Many times that number have died maintaining our (useless) garrisons in Europe and Asia over the last 60 years or so. When are you maggots going to report on that?

You knew they would be waiting for this “grim milestone” like vultures perched in a tree over a dying cow.

We lost over 6K on Iwo Jima in two months.
I fear this nation has become psychologically incapable of anything resembling a sustained effort anymore.

But you see, THAT was a “good” war, even though it took us some time to end the slaughter of Jews. It involved two Democrats. Although I must say HST, really stuck it to the Japanese.
Kennedy’s aura would be 100 times today, had Johnson had the balls to ignore the start of the Left’s rise, and had completely flattened, North Vietnam.

Anyway…
…the AP story is factually incorrect (big shock). The Iraq war actually started in 1990 when the Iraqis attacked Kuwait, and there’s been fighting ever since…and the dreaded 4,000 mark was passed long ago.
Of course, its very important for leftoid propaganda purposes to pretend that Iraq and America were at peace during the Clinton years, that we didn’t bomb Iraq hundreds of times during those years, and that no Amerians died supporting the military operations when Slick was president.
Hence AP’s hogwash claim that the war began in 2003 and that 3927of our guys have died in said war.
It’s all crap. But, it’s the kind of crap they can use in support of their favorite political party.

The MSM has to keep its recent hires and interns busy with SOMETHING. The 4K “milestone” is an easy assignment. Idiot traitors.
