AP forgot to add “and the laws are medieval.”
What, and offer criticism of a country other than the United States? Please! The AP leadership has more nuance than that, surely..

I forgot to add…..
Any resemblance is purely coincidental.

Calling Saudi laws medieval is an insult to the Middle Ages, when both the Common Law of England and the Civil Law of the Continent were created. Anyway, Saudi Law is firmly rooted in the 7th Century, which most historians call the Dark Ages.
