Obamalot More
Make that Obamalot Moore. Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg was apparently the warmup act for the 800-lb gorilla. Sen. Edward Moore Kennedy to throw his weight behind Obama. ABC:
ABC News’ Rick Klein Reports: Senator Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., will endorse Barack Obama’s presidential bid on Monday in Washington, a source close to Kennedy tells ABC News.
The endorsement gives Obama a boost in the eyes of the Washington establishment, and comes after some prominent Democrats criticized Senator Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., and former president Bill Clinton for their campaign tactics before Obama’s landslide victory in South Carolina.
…
“I’ll let Ted Kennedy speak for himself. And nobody does it better. But obviously, any of the Democratic candidates would love to have Ted Kennedy’s support. And we have certainly actively sought it,” Obama said. “I will let him make his announcement and his decision when he decides it’s appropriate.”
So much for any claim Obama had to being an Washington outsider, change hoper, etc. Endorsements are notoriously meaningless, though the willingness of leading Senate Dems and lib icons to throw Hillary under the bus, on top of the new popularity of Bill-bashing and alleged racism, signals trouble in paradise for the first woman president, and those who would prefer to run against her. Or it’s all another comeback opportunity. Obama may be picking up mo, but none of it means anything till Super Tuesday.

Oh lord.
The Swimmer’s…support?…?
While Caroline Kennedy sez he’s like her dad ?
Barack Obama’s not particularly reminiscent of JFK.

One must admit that the good Senator, as paunchy as he is, has a great deal of weight to throw around.

I don’t think this is about boosting Obama’s support, I think this is about Ted Kennedy shoring up his own status by hitching a ride on Caroline’s dignified, sentimental bona fides..
