Cut 3 If You Would Like to Speak With Someone in the United States
On Deadline rounds up the news and speculation about Mideast cable cuts. They’re up to three, from Egypt to Dubai. Playing havoc with the Internet all the way from Cairo to Calcutta. Some people think its terrorists, trying to screw up us. Some people think its us, trying to screw up the terrorists. I think it might be someone who has a beef with a credit card company or an airline or a car rental agency.

It might be my fault :(. I sent a really big file to a friend in Kuwait - maybe too big to fit in the cable, causing it to burst.

It’s not the first time for an INTERNET cable to get cut in that part of the world, although 3 nearly at once is very odd. One cable was while I was in Kuwait, back in 2005.
