Protest, Counter-Protest
Zombietime’s got your Berkeley Marine art. Not for the squeamish.
Blackfive’s got the words: The Battle is Joined.
Gateway with a little of both asks, extra credit for Berkeley schoolkids? Malkin’s after action here. Surber: “To err is human but to really screws things up takes the Berkeley City Council.”

Berkeley protests - in pictures
Hot off the presses, here are the first round of pix from Zombietime on yesterday’s protests and counter-protests in Berkeley.
I guess these anti-war high school students who joined in on the protest received a “get out of school free”…

Nice to see the leftys admitting that they’re traitors.
It’s rare that you see a lefty telling the truth. Very rare.

Everywhere I read that the Berkeley City Council is going to vote to rescind the letter they never sent, and that they (might) apologize to the Marines. But are they going to rescind the parking spots and special permission they gave to Code Pinkoid to harass and intimidate? If the furor dies down, will they try later to reinstate their shameful letter? I see no real contrition here for what is clearly undemocratic, anti-American behavior, and I believe the effort to defund Berkeley’s earmarks should go forward.

What the Berkeley city government and the traitor lefty protestors are doing isn’t just un-American, it’s a felony under federal law to obstruct recruiting during wartime, punishable by up to 20 years imprisonment. Likewise for conspiring to obstruct recruiting.
Too bad the Bush administration isn’t enforcing the law.

Btw, Zombie does great work on covering the looney left out here. I almost drove over to the demonstration yesterday, just so I could meet the guy, but I knew if I did I’d end up punching a commie…and that would have been a bad thing.
Zombie…keep up the good work.

The city council has obviously been assured by Reid, Boxer, and others, that they have nothing to be concerned about re earmarks for them. I wonder how long this can last if Americans write their own congress critters to push to cut that bunch of quislings off for the foreseeable future. It’s time to put an end to this kind of treason. Speaking your mind and actively acting to aid and abet the enemy are two distinct actions.
