In regards to the NYT editorial:

Naturally, according to the NYT, it is Bush’s fault that the Iraqi national goverment is moving too slowly towards reconciliation. Everything is Bush’s fault. This is a well established fact according to the liberal media.

Ignoring entirely the fact that if Bush had followed the NYT’s advice, there would be no progress whatsoever, and that Iraq would likely be in the throes of a violent civil war.

Bush has “displayed only intermittent interest in Iraq’s political stalemates.” Just a short while ago, however, the NYT preferred to show no interest in the future of Iraq at all, and was quite content to let the country fall apart.

So when they say things like, “We are, of course, cheered by the news that representatives from Iraq’s three main ethnic groups — Shiite, Sunni and Kurd — finally saw some benefit in compromise,” then you must, of course, forgive me for believing that the NYT edtorialists, of course, are full of crap and are, of course, not cheered at all by this news.

Michael and Bill have developed into truly outstanding reporters over the past 18 months. I’ve been pimping their work at Ace’s to get them exposure. They (including Yon, Fumento, and a couple I’ve probably forgotten) put all that NYT/LAT/WAPO/etc drivel to shame.

You can say that again, Purple Avenger. They shot themselves in the foot to get out of going to war. Pathetic.

For some reason my very brilliant observation about nature abhorring a vacuum simply disappeared. Into a vacuum.

That just happened to me when commenting on another post, saltydog. Might be a problem with the site.
