Slam Planned
Times of London, lefties observe that the right wing will slam Obama as the next McGovern, shady Chicago socialist. Did anyone think the right would fold before the second coming of JFMLK? But what’s interesting here is a lefty, gotta be a Clintonista, who does the math and figures out that electorally, in addition to policy-wise, Obama is McGovern. And it is starting to look like it might be McCain vs. McGoverama, which is pretty ironic, considering.
Meanwhile, Novak says the McGovern slam is Hill’s idea. Executed by a vast left wing conspiracy that apparently includes Murdoch-owned papers across the pond.

Well, he does. When he can be bothered to show up to vote (about half the time he’s too busy with other things to actually do his job and vote on legislation), he votes party line Democrat (aka socialist) about 95% of the time.

Obama’s record – limited as it is – speaks for itself. I really think that moderate Democrats, Republicans, and independents will be shocked when they find out what Obama’s positions actually are. It’s being covered up for now, just as Kerry’s many problems and contradictions were covered up last time, but at some point people *will* start paying attention, and if Obama is the nominee, they will be very surprised by what they see.
