Supermarket Horror!

Tabloid shrieks the alarm. No supermarket tabloid jokes please.  Have you checked the expiration dates or had a look out back of your supermarket lately? While we’re at it, along with the remedial sanitation and food safety instruction, how about some bagging lessons.

What, Taxsachussetts can’t hire a legion of food police, just to take of the helpless people? I’m shocked, shocked I say, to hear the unwashed masses are expected to look out for themselves.

    Who woulda thunk it?

We’re lucky to live in an area that has ample shopping choices, so if a store isn’t being kept clean and goods up to date, we simply don’t go back there. It’s a free market economy kind of thing. In inner cities, where there may not be so many choices, that might be problematic, but the citizens can still make complaints, and if the complaints aren’t addressed, they can complain to regulating agencies, or if all else fails, picket the store.

Is the only supermarket that I would shop at, if here in Tennessee (although that may come soon).

They are just up the road from my place on the beach, in Florida. I was with Publix for 15 years before cashing in my chips with them. Paid extremely well, imagine they still do.

One couldn’t find anything out of place, out of date, rotting, dirty, spoiled or about to be.

Why you ask? OH good someone did ask…The stores were supervised by folks who had graduated from the College of Genghis (not Jennghis) and Sun Tzu. That’s why.

If ya’ start ‘em off on the correct path and make sure they stay straight….Chop the heads off, of the non believers. You wind up with a regimented but damn good product and service.

Publix did and still does. Tiz a privately owned company.

Tedeschi’s is famous for this. Your ace reporters should check out some convenience store chains and see what THAT food is like.

    Yech.
