Banner Day for Gaia
Eco-infiltrators scurry across Heathrow’s tarmac, scale a plane, drape a banner for the planet.
It took 90 minutes to arrest them. Al Qaeda, you paying attention?

I can’t board an airplane without giving up my shoes and my personal dignity, but these brainless fuckers can climb all over a plane and all they get is a 90 minute detention? Were there strip searches? Were there grueling interrogations under a hot spotlight? Where is the goddamned justice?

Rebecca, I see that you have reached the end of your patience with the stupidity surrounding us. I understand. I only have one nerve left and too much of the world is constantly poking at it.

In fairness, the 90 minutes was the time it took to arrest them. They’re out on bail, meaning that they’ll go to trial. Of course, if you’re pulling a stunt like this, you probably don’t care if you get a criminal record. I hope the judge slams them with contempt if they try to use the courtroom to grandstand.

The funny part would have been those “brainless fuckers” getting sucked up in the engines of a 747. Julienned Greenpeace activists would have gotten a shoe-in for the Darwin Award.
